Alex Cormier-Lavoie

Alex grew up on the north shore of Montreal and attended the University of Montreal for his Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Sciences. He obtained his DMD degree from the University of Montreal and was placed on the Dean’s List graduating in the top tier of his class. Afterwards, he completed his Oral and Maxillofacial surgery training at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City where he was heavily exposed to dentoalveolar surgery, dental implantology, facial trauma, oral pathology and orthognathic surgery.  Dr. Cormier-Lavoie is a member of the American Dental Association and a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is also a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and he was inducted into the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (RCDC) as an oral surgery fellow. He maintains certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS). Presently, his surgical practice focuses on dentoalveolar surgery, implantology, bone grafting, and oral pathology.

Dr. Cormier-Lavoie enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters and his hobbies include golf and playing ice hockey.
